Overview of Sony SNC-ER550

The Sony SNC-ER550 Rapid-Dome IP security camera captures high-quality HD720p footage at up to 30 fps and operates with full 360° endless rotation and an above-the-horizon tilt range of 210°, ideal for monitoring large areas. The powerful 28x optical zoom provides high-quality imagery even at full zoom, while wide dynamic range shows detail from light and dark areas simultaneously, so no event is hidden.

An infrared-cut filter allows the camera to switch from colour to monochrome during the night, allowing surveillance to continue around the clock when combined with infrared illumination (sold seperatly). DEPA video technology helps to detect events while filtering out false alarms such as swaying branches, reducing overall storage sizes.

Footage can be recorded locally onto an SD card, providing an alternative to a PC-based or NVR recording system. The camera can also be powered using High Power over Ethernet, with one cable supplying power and data, helping to save on wiring costs. Additionally 2-way audio allows communication between control rooms and those in the camera view.
