Overview of the Sony SNC-ER521

This outdoor bundle comprises the Sony SNC-ER521 PTZ dome camera with all the hardware required for outdoor installation.

The SNC-ER521 features Sony's rapid-dome PTZ mechanism, designed for continuous movement and endless 360° panning. The camera's 36x optical zoom produces wide-angled overviews (58.7°) or can zoom in for close-up detail, and with Wide Dynamic Range detail can be captured in a variety of high-contrast light conditions. Sony's RealShot Manager Lite software is included to provide video recording to PC or surveillance server at no additional cost, or for an edge-recording solution the camera supports SDHC memory card recording.

The included Videotec Medusa housing is constructed from aluminium and comes with a choice of smoked or clear viewing bubbles. The included bracket protects the cabling from malicious tampering and allows the dome to be wall or ceiling mounted (option selectable above). The included power adapter supplies 24V to both camera and the built-in heater/fan assembly, maintaining the housing's internal temperature when installed in cold environments.
