Featuring a Dual-core Intel Dual i3 processor and 4GB RAM, the Linux-based, high-level VS-8148U-RP PRO+ network video recorder from QNAP's VioStor series provides smooth, high performance recording for up to 48 cameras with resolutions up to 10 megapixel. The unit has 8 HDD slots to provide up to 32TB storage capacity, ideal for storing large video files from multi-megapixel network cameras. Linux-embedded, the VS-8148U-RP PRO+ delivers stable and robust CCTV recording, capable of recording audio to enhance video footage further. A HDMI output is included to enable HD local monitoring, and the unit is rackmountable for neat installation and simple integration into existing systems.
Installation in 6 steps using Internet Explorer makes the QNAP VioStor VS-8148U-RP PRO+ user friendly, and the unit also provides simple data backup with the scheduled remote replication feature. If a drive fails, hot swapping technology enables it to be replaced without needing to switch the server off. Additional features also supported include dynamic e-map, advanced event management with real-time SMS and email alerts on motion detection, 4 Gigabit LAN ports, smart recording, RAID capability and digital watermarking.
