This product is discontinued, for alternatives please see Synology Network Attached Storage (NAS)
The QNAP VS-5020 VioStor NVR is a Network Video Recorder which can simultaneously record video feeds from up to 20 IP cameras and store its data using up to 10TB of storage from 5 hot-swappable hard drive bays. Additional QNAP NVR servers can be added to monitor up to 120 cameras, offering plenty of scope for expansion.
Using the Internet Explorer web browser, the QNAP VS-5020 VioStor NVR offers live monitoring, recording and playback for connected IP cameras. The Linux based operating system is stable and less prone to malware than a PC-based recording solution.
With the QNAP VioStor NVR, recordings are safe from hard drive failure. Advanced RAID configurations can reconstruct the lost data in event of a failure. Hard drives can be replaced or upgraded without data loss or down time. Additional backups can be made using the convenient one-touch backup button to a wide variety of USB storage devices.
