Overview

The QNAP VS-2112 PRO+ VioStor NVR is a Network Video Recorder capable of recording 12 IP cameras in resolutions of up to 8 megapixels. Easily expandable, additional QNAP NVR servers can be added locally or across the Internet delivering live viewing for up to 128 IP cameras.

With a possible 8TB of storage and advanced RAID configurations, the QNAP VS-2112 PRO+ VioStor NVR can operate as one large disk or mirror the recordings across 2 hard disks ensuring the data is not lost in the case of hard drive failure. Also a one-touch backup button can easily save recordings directly to an attached USB storage device. Fitted with a HDMI video output and USB ports for keyboard and a mouse (excluded) the NVR can operate as a stand-alone unit as well as via an IP network.

The embedded Linux operating system delivers high reliability and is less vulnerable to virus attacks than a PC-based recording system. It is also energy efficient. With low power consumption the QNAP VioStor NVR has minimal running costs and is environmentally friendly.
