Overview of the NUUO NVRsolo NS-2080

The NUUO NS-2080 Linux-based 8 channel network video recorder forms part of NUUO's popular and affordable NVRsolo recorder series. This unit has two drive bays and can provide up to 8TB of total storage (2 x 4TB HDD). Handy features include HD 1080p live display output (HDMI), an intelligent video search facility, mobile clients for iPhone, iPad and Android, and email alert triggered by motion detection.

Feature-packed, the NS-2080 NVR allows for up to 8 IP cameras to be managed via an easy-to-use interface whilst providing plenty of storage capability for high resolution, high frame rate recording and long term data storage. Simultaneous live viewing, recording and playback of footage allows for uninterrupted operation at all times. The unit can be operated via the network and/or function as a stand-alone NVR using its keyboard/mouse inputs and HDMI video output for connecting a local display monitor. This versatility is complemented by a hassle free, plug-and-play set up process called ezNUUO, which automatically find cameras across the network and overcomes issues with IP addressing, network settings and port-forwarding, making the NS-2080 easy to install for everyone.

Linux-based, the NUUO NS-2080 is a stable platform, providing reduced chance of virus attack or system crash. The NS-2080 is ideal for use in small and medium sized businesses and its support for POS makes it suitable for use in retail too. Using the unit's Point-of-Sale (POS) facility will give the retailer POS information as an overlay on the video footage so that each transaction can be tracked individually, allowing investigation into cash shortages, errors and problems with 'sweethearting' . This POS feature can be used on a maximum of 4 camera channels and is available both in live as well recorded footage. Additional useful features include digital watermarking for secure evidence, easy export of footage, external DAS storage and PTZ joystick operation.

Users can quickly and efficiently search for specific data using the NS-2080’s intelligent search function, which can find objects that have been left or removed and identify loss of camera focus or camera obstruction. Support for video motion detection can trigger alert emails and push notifications to mobiles, whilst event recording is started at the same time ensuring no activity will be missed. The handy NUUO iViewer app available for iPhone, iPad and Android allows users to watch live video and playback recordings from anywhere, ideal for managers and business owners. To assist with event analysis, the NUUO NVRsolo NS-2080 provides digital PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) and multi-view playback. For efficient bandwidth and storage management, dual streaming capability enables a typical set up of live viewing in a lower resolution and recording in high resolution.

NUUO's advanced fisheye dewarping technology makes all NUUO products ideal for use with 360° panoramic and hemispheric cameras, which works particularly well with Mobotix, Axis, Sony, Arecont and Vivotek 360° fisheye cameras.
