Overview of the Microchip PDS-408G
Designed to be placed in a ceiling, this PoE switch allows compatible devices to receive power and data from a single source, providing centralised and remote power management that reduces installation costs. With 8 PoE ports and a further 2 gigabit and 1 SFP port, this device provides a total of 480W of power, supplying a single device with 90W or multiple devices with 60W each.
Able to be remotely managed over Web, SSH, Telnet and CLI, this PoE switch features a fan-less design for quiet and unobtrusive use in ceilings. This unit is easy to keep up to date as software updates can be performed without interfering with connected PoE devices.
