Overview of the Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2/8P

This entry-level network video recorder (NVR) by Hikvision provides an affordable recording solution for up to 8 camera channels. Ideal for small organisations, the unit provides a maximum of 8TB storage and also features an integrated Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch with a PoE budget of up to 120W - delivering a PoE to a total of 8 IP cameras. Handy additional features include audio support and a built-in HDMI output for local display.

This NVR supports the monitoring and recording of multiple network cameras at a resolution of up to 8MP. The unit’s user-interface allows straightforward set up of configurations to help enhance security monitoring. It’s integrated alarm and audio I/O ports allow users to connect external devices that can help enhance alarm signalling or enable features such as two-way audio. In addition, recordings can be easily retrieved using the Smart Search tool, reviewed and then exported via the USB connection.
