Overview of the Hikvision DS-2DF8836IX-AELW

This PTZ IP camera by Hikvision is capable of delivering 8 megapixel video footage at up to 25 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night functionality and integrated infrared LEDs that provide up to 200m of night vision. Its housing is IP67-rated and also features a wiper for self-cleaning - making it suitable for use in demanding external locations. Additional features include support for Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+) and remote access via the free Hikvision iVMS-4200 video management software (VMS).

Regions of interest can be examined using the camera's full pan/tilt functionality and 36x optical zoom. To help deliver clearer images in challenging lighting conditions, imaging technologies such as wide dynamic range (WDR) and 3D noise reduction are included. Edge recording (MicroSD card not included) is supported and can be triggered by a variety of configurable video motion detections. These alerts can also be set to inform users of activity in real-time via email notification. To help increase scene awareness, a range of Hikvision's "Smart" video detection methods are also included such as line crossing and intrusion detections.
