Overview of the Hikvision DS-2DF8236IX-AEL

This outdoor-ready, Hikvision PTZ network camera delivers 2 megapixel video footage at full frame rate, complete with true day/night recording and up to 200m of infrared night vision. The IP67-rated unit offers full pan/tilt functionality, and 36x optical zooming for detailed examination of wide scenes. Additional features include support for Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+) and remote access via Hikvision's free iVMS-4200 video management software (VMS).

Images captured in high contrast scenes are improved with wide dynamic range (WDR) technology. By ensuring details in both bright and dark areas are not lost, objects and individuals can be more easily identified. In addition, various video motion detection alarms can be set to prompt tasks such as moving the camera directly to a pre-set location - ensuring all activity is captured. These alarms can also be configured to trigger recording to the on-board MicroSD card (not included) - serving as a helpful backup of data if network connection is interrupted. The integrated alarm and audio I/O ports allow users to connect external devices that can help enhance alarm signalling or enable features such as two-way audio.
