Overview of the Hikvision DS-2DF8225IH-AELW

Part of the Hikvision DarkfighterX series, this PTZ network camera delivers 2 megapixel video footage at full frame rate, complete with true day/night recording and up to 200m of infrared night vision. The unit offers full pan/tilt functionality, and 25x optical zooming for detailed examination of wide scenes. Additional features include support for High Power-over-Ethernet and remote access via Hikvision's free iVMS-4200 video management software (VMS).

Regions of interest can be examined using the camera's full pan/tilt functionality and 25x optical zoom. To help deliver clearer images in challenging lighting conditions, imaging technologies such as wide dynamic range (WDR) and 3D noise reduction are included. A range of Hikvision's "Smart" video detection methods, such as intrusion and line crossing detection, are also included to increase scene awareness. Edge recording (MicroSD card not included) is supported and can be triggered by a variety of configurable video motion detections. Additionally, these alerts can also be set to inform users of activity in real-time via email notification.
