Overview of the Hikvision DS-2CD4A65F-IZS

A good value IP67-rated external IP camera by Hikvision capable of 6 megapixel resolution at 24 frames per second. This model features an IR cut filter with auto switch to give up to 50m true day/night vision providing 24/7 surveillance. Additional functions include 2-way audio, a variety of video motion detections, defog, on-board recording up to 128GB and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Supplied with iVMS-4200 software and supports mobile access.

This outdoor network camera is equipped with an infrared-cut filter and is able to produce full HD colour images in daylight and monochrome images at night, providing accurate and reliable 24-hour surveillance. With an IR range of up to 50m and an infrared anti-reflection panel, which increases IR light transmittance, this camera affords a clear, long-range image at night. This security camera by Hikvision includes a 1/1.8'' progressive scan CMOS sensor, as well as providing a 94.5°~30.5° viewing angle which increases the area that can be covered from one CCTV camera. The addition of 3D noise reduction and wide dynamic range (WDR) provide a rounded and balanced image throughout various light conditions.

Built-in Smart video motion detection methods mean this IP camera is able to deliver accurate and reliable security surveillance. This model has IP-67 rated weather resistance which allows for durable monitoring in an external installation as it is protected against water and dust. Defog technology improves quality within scenes subject to environmental conditions such as fog, haze and smoke. In addition, the audio technology featured in this camera enables users to not only have access to sound within the scene, but allows verbal warnings to be passed through 2-way audio.

The codec technology caters for popular compression formats such as H.264 and Motion JPEG, which provide dual stream options during system set up. With the support of separate data streams, users are able to configure these in different resolutions and frame rates, allowing flexible bandwidth management. The system also allows support for 20 channels to be viewed live simultaneously, offering flexibility for multiple surveillance options. On-board storage allows users to store video within the camera up to 128GB using the MicroSD card slot (card not included). The use of a MicroSD card provides a low-cost back up if there is any network failure and also the use within a stand-alone system. Installation using Power over Ethernet (PoE) is quick, simple and a cost-effective method as only one single cable is required for power and network connection.

Included with all Hikvision cameras is iVMS-4200 video management software. Users can access video remotely using the iOS and Android Hikvision mobile app.
