Overview of the Hikvision DS-2CD4626FWD-IZ

This Hikvision external IP camera is part of the Darkfighter series, designed to capture quality images in low light environments. This network bullet camera with built-in infrared and LED illumination has a range of up to 70m of night-vision, providing 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Featuring full HD 1080p resolution, true/day night, 3D noise reduction and digital wide dynamic range. Additional functions include advanced detection methods, defog technology, on-board recording up to 128GB and PoE. Supplied with iVMS-4500 software and supports mobile access.

This fixed outdoor network camera is designed with Darkfighter technology to capture high quality coloured images in ultra-low light scenes with a full HD resolution running at 50 frames per second (fps). The integrated IR LEDs deliver true day/night capability for round the clock surveillance, with an IR range of up to 70m and Smart technology which helps to prevent overexposure of the foreground. Hikvision’s 3D noise reduction and digital wide dynamic range (WDR) technologies provide high performance in a variety of lighting conditions, delivering polished low-light video and capturing detail in scenes with dark shadows and highlights.

A variety of detection methods including line crossing, object left/removal and face detection ensure a high level of dynamic scene awareness. Defog technology improves quality within scenes that are subject to environmental conditions such as fog, haze, smoke or dust. Combined with IP-66 rated weather resistance and IK10 rated impact protection, the camera is a robust model suitable for surveillance in an external installation. With the ability to support up to 20 channels live view, this feature set makes it an ideal low-cost choice for medium and larger size organisations.

The codec technology gives a choice within setup and caters for popular compression formats such as H.264, Motion JPEG and MPEG-4. A MicroSD card slot (card not included) allows users to store video on-board the camera up to 128GB and also the ability for use in a stand-alone system. Installation using Power over Ethernet (PoE) is quick and simple, using a single cable for power and network connection. Fast focus on the AF motorized lens assists during the installation process.

Included with all Hikvision cameras is iVMS-4500 video management software. Users can access video remotely using the iOS and Android Hikvision mobile app.
