This 4K outdoor dome camera from Hikvision offers Ultra HD (4K resolution) for those looking to combine high resolution IP video surveillance with good value. The camera is able to capture a maximum of 4K (4096 × 2160) resolution images at 22 frames per second (fps) - most effective during the day but when light levels drop, the built-in infrared (IR) LEDs assist with night-vision at a range of up to 40m. Featuring a weather resistant (IP66 rated) and impact resistant (IK10 rated) housing in addition to a maximum viewing angle of 96°, the specification makes it ideal for 24 hour CCTV monitoring in outdoor locations.

A built-in IR cut filter switches from full colour to black and white night vision which means monitoring and recording can continue day or night. Image clarity is improved with 3D noise reduction technology and wide dynamic range (WDR) helps the camera balance high contrast areas of a scene, retaining details that would otherwise be lost. This imaging feature set is enhanced by the ability to capture more details at 4K resolution, making this camera suitable for use in scenarios where evidence gathering or post-incident analysis are important. A full range of Hikvision's "Smart" video detection methods are built-in, offering flexible surveillance options along with the convenience of on-board recording and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). 

H.264, H.264+ and MJPEG compression standards are all supported along with three separate data streams, providing flexible configuration options during system set up. The data streams can be set to use different resolutions and frame rates which allows bandwidth and storage consumption to be managed effectively. Integrated storage allows up to 128GB of recordings to be stored on board the camera using the MicroSD card slot (card not included) and serves to backup data if the network connection is interrupted. Support for PoE means power is supplied to the camera through the Ethernet cable, simplifying installation and eliminating the need for a separate power supply.

Included with all Hikvision cameras is iVMS-4200 video management software. Users can access video remotely using the iOS and Android Hikvision mobile app.
