Overview of the Hikvision DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ

Indoor DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ dome network camera from the Lightfighter Hikvision range, capable of full HD 1080p resolution at 50 fps. Providing advanced night-time surveillance with true day/night and infrared LEDs with up to 30m of illumination. Other features include 140dB true Wide Dynamic Range, defog, 3D noise reduction, triple codec and triple streaming, intelligent video, two-way audio, MicroSD card recording and PoE. Included Hikvision video management software and supports mobile viewing.

Part of the Lightfighter series designed to capture quality images in high contrast environments, the camera is also equipped with an infrared-cut filter to provide true day/night capability. Built-in IR LEDs provide up to 30m of illumination and enable long-range image capture in complete darkness. IK10-rated, the DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ provides robust and durable CCTV, protected against impact.

Hikvision’s image enhancement technologies enable the DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ to produce polished, detailed video footage to assist with event analysis and identification. For scenes with challenging lighting, 140dB true Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) captures detail in bright and dark areas to ensure balanced exposure, whilst 3D noise reduction improves the clarity of low light video. The DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ features defog technology, which filters dust, fog and smoke from images to improve visibility.

Featuring a variety of intelligent video features, the Hikvision DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ dome camera is able to deliver accurate and reliable security surveillance, alerting users via email and additional methods if motion has been detected. Intrusion detection can raise an alarm if an individual enters a room or loiters in a pre-defined area, whilst a tampering alarm can detect potential vandalism attempts and alert operators. If the camera loses focus, an alarm is triggered by defocus detection technology.

Operators can configure three separate data streams in different resolutions and frame rates to be used for different purposes, allowing flexible bandwidth management. H.264, Motion JPEG and H.264+ compression formats are all supported to enable file reduction suitable for a variety of applications. Data can be stored internally to a MicroSD card (card not included – please select from above if required), providing a low-cost data back up if the network fails. Support for PoE makes the DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ more cost-attractive as power is supplied to the camera through the Ethernet cable, meaning only a single cable is required.

Further detection capabilities are provided using Smart audio detection, which detects if audio is lost and alerts the user. With support for full two-way audio, a speaker and/or microphone (not included) can be connected to the camera to enable users to pass verbal warnings through the camera and for audio to be captured to enhance video recordings. Support for alarm I/O also allows the connection of external devices such as relays and a PIR sensor, enhancing the cameras alarm trigger capabilities.

Hikvision’s iVMS-4200 video management software is included with the DS-2CD4125FWD-IZ, enabling simple and effective camera control ideal for small to medium-sized installations, whilst mobile support provides flexible remote viewing.
