Overview of the Buffalo TeraStation 4800D NAS
The Buffalo TeraStation 4800D Network Attached Storage (NAS) device offers a storage solution suitable which is scalable and ideal for use in professional IP-based CCTV installations. This unit is sold with Western Digital Purple hard disk drives which are specifically designed for use in CCTV applications and therefore offers robust and reliable video data storage in business environments. The Intel Atom Dual-Core processor enables quick transfer of large files and faster file access from multiple computers, thus enabling the rapid retrieval of video footage for playback. RAID protection is supported when using 2 or more drives whilst the devices' hot swap function enables disk changing without downtime for secure video at all times.
The Buffalo TeraStation 4800D is ideal for use with Axis Camera Companion software, Milestone XProtect video management software (XProtect Express or higher), Mobotix software and can also be used with IP cameras that support direct-to-NAS recording, such as Axis, Sony, Mobotix, LILIN and Vivotek.
The Buffalo 4800D NAS is compatible with 2 and 4TB hard disk drives (HDDs). We offer this unit with a choice of 2TB and 4TB HDDs (WD Purple - CCTV class), please select your requirement from the above drop-down menu.
