Overview of the Buffalo TeraStation 4400D NAS
The TeraStation 4400D Network Attached Storage (NAS) device from Buffalo delivers a scalable storage solution suitable for use in professional IP video systems. Combined with Western Digital Purple hard disk drives, specifically designed for high-write workloads and use in surveillance applications, this 4-bay Buffalo NAS provides reliable and robust storage of CCTV footage in business environments. Faster file transfer is provided through the Intel Atom Dual-Core processor and also quick file access from multiple cameras allowing for fast retrieval of video for playback. The device's hot swap capability enables disks to be changed without downtime to ensure data is saved and available at all times, whilst RAID protection is provided when using two or more drives.
This NAS from Buffalo is can be used in combination with Axis Camera Companion software, Milestone Xprotect video management software (Xprotect Express or higher), Mobotix control software and is also suitable for use with any IP camera with direct-to-NAS recording support, such as network cameras from Axis, Sony, Mobotix, LILIN and Vivotek.
The Buffalo TeraStation 4400D NAS is compatible with 2 and 4TB hard disk drives (HDDs). We provide this Buffalo NAS with a choice of WD Purple (CCTV class) 2TB and 4TB HDDs, please select your storage choice from the above drop down menu.
