Overview of the Buffalo TeraStation 4200D NAS
The Buffalo TeraStation 4200D Network Attached Storage (NAS) device provides a scalable storage solution suitable for use in professional, IP-based CCTV systems. Sold with Western Digital Purple hard disk drives (specifically designed for use in CCTV applications), this Buffalo 2-bay NAS offers robust and reliable storage of CCTV footage in business environments. The Intel Atom Dual-Core processor provides fast transfer of large files and quick file access from multiple computers enabling fast retrieval of video footage for playback. RAID protection is provided when using two drives whilst the unit's hot swap capability enables users to change disks without downtime, ensuring video data is kept safe at all times.
This Buffalo NAS is ideal for use in combination with Axis Camera Companion software, Milestone XProtect video management software (XProtect Express or higher), Mobotix software and can also be used with any IP camera that supports direct-to-NAS recording, such as IP cameras from Axis, Sony, Mobotix, LILIN and Vivotek.
The Buffalo TeraStation 4200D NAS is compatible with 2 and 4TB hard disk drives (HDDs). We offer this Buffalo NAS with a choice of 2TB and 4TB HDDs (WD Purple - CCTV class), please select your storage requirement from above drop-down menu.
