Overview of the Allied Telesis AT-8100L/8POE-E

The Allied Telesis AT-8100L/POE-E is a ruggedised, extended temperature 8-port PoE Fast Ethernet edge switch with layer 2-4 functionality. Environmentally friendly and designed for rapid deployment with minimum configuration time, the 8100L/POE-E offers features like Voice VLAN, LLDP-MED, Enhanced Stacking and web management via GUI.

All 8 ports are PoE-capable and with a power budget of 185W the unit can supply 802.3at (High PoE) and 802.3af PoE to up to 6 cameras or other devices. Additionally, this switch will operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +50°C.

The unit additionally has two combo SFP ports at 100 or 1000Mbps for fibre backhaul. The dual speed ports make this unit ideal for where Gigabit fibre switches may be phased in over time. The 8100L series of Fast Ethernet switches allows for connectivity to legacy 100FX hardware until the device is upgraded to Gigabit.
