The Sony SNC-DS60 is a compact fixed dome network camera housed in a heavy-duty vandal resistant dome suitable for outdoor installations. Professional image quality using ExwavePRO technology provides high levels of sensitivity and with automatic day/night switching the camera is infrared sensitive offering 24-hour surveillance opportunities.
Using Sony’s Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) the SNC-DS60 can integrate with other DEPA enabled devices and provide intelligent video applications such as people counting, detection of an objects direction as well as motion, alarm triggering when objects pass virtual borderlines etc.
Easy to install, the camera is IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet compliant meaning both the power and the data connection can be supplied using a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation. Suitable for mid-sized security surveillance installations in exposed areas prone to vandalism or in areas where there is a need for a heavy-duty camera which can operate 24 hours-a-day. Like all IP cameras offered by Network Webcams, the Sony SNC-DS60 security camera has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.
Note: This camera does not include a power supply. Please select one from the options above.
An indoor version is available: Sony SNC-DS10 Indoor mini-dome network camera
Sony SNC-DS60 - Key benefits:
Outdoor ready and vandal resistant. The SNC-DS60 can be placed securely in any outdoor location which may be prone to vandalism
DEPA enabled, the camera is capable of integrating with other DEPA compliant devices. DEPA allows the use of intelligent video analytics where the intelligence of the camera is combined with a set of rules and filters to determine when to record or trigger an alarm
True day/night functionality allows the camera to automatically switch from colour video to infrared sensitive black and white providing around-the-clock surveillance
Sony SNC-DS60 - Key features:
ExwavePRO technology with complimentary colour filtering provides high sensitivity levels providing clear, detailed images during the day and in low-light environments
Progressive scan CCD technology eliminates the blurring you would normally expect from traditional interlace sensors improving image quality
Dual MPEG-4 and JPEG encoding allows users to view smooth bandwidth efficient MPEG-4 video while recording high quality JPEG images
Max. resolution: 768x576 pixels (JPEG) with a horizontal viewing angle of 73° (wide lens position)
Max. frame rate: 30fps (at VGA resolution)
2x Digital zoom
JPEG image quality can be adjusted to suit requirements
Constant bit-rate algorithm provides a means to maintain a steady bandwidth limit without compromising image quality
Gamma settings can be adjusted from six preset positions to allow fine-tuning of the image colour reproduction to better match the surroundings
Auxiliary analogue output to aid camera lens positioning and focusing at point of installation
Quick focus adjustment opens the iris to maximum value to help camera focusing
On-screen focus adjustment guide provides an accurate measurement to gain optimum focusing position
Movement of lens position is made simple using Sony’s patented ball-joint mechanism
Bi-directional audio allows you to attach a microphone to the camera so you can listen-in on sounds at the camera’s location and also attach an active speaker system so that commands or warnings can be made from a remote location
Intelligent motion detection is based on an advanced Sony algorithm which minimises false alarms caused by noisy images or repeated motion patterns
Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) technology allows the intelligence built into the camera to combine with a set of rules/metadata to determine when recordings are started/alarms triggered etc. Can integrate with other DEPA-enabled devices such as recording software and network video recorders
Solid PTZ function allows images to be cropped to a smaller size to save bandwidth and panned in real time or set to automatically follow motion
Privacy zone masking enables privacy of up to 7 distinct areas
Voice alerting allows pre-configured voice alerts/commands to be sounded when alarms have been triggered
Date/time overlay can be added to live/recorded images to provide information about when an image was taken
External I/O allows alarms to be triggered by external sensors such as switches or door/window sensors. Outputs can be used to trigger external devices such as lights or audible alarms
IEEE802.1X compliant enables the camera to seamlessly integrate into a network environment which uses the IEEE802.1X client authorization protocol
Sony SNC-DS60 - Typical applications:
Compact mini-dome network camera allows discreet monitoring in outdoor locations prone to vandalism in areas such as schools, colleges, universities, bus/train stations, prisons, detention centres, shopping centres, car parks, multi-stories, residential or commercial areas such as town centres etc.
