The Y-cam Black is a compact wireless network camera with 30 built-in infrared LEDs allowing for high visibility in environments with no light, ideal for home and small business security applications, baby monitoring or keeping a check on elderly relatives. The camera produces a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels (VGA) and a frame-rate of up to 30 frames per second across all resolutions.

The unique night vision feature will allow the camera to deliver colour images during the day while at night automatically activate its built-in infrared lights to deliver a clear black and white image even in complete darkness. With support for MPEG-4, MJPEG and 3GPP the camera will provide a live view from multiple platforms including Apple Macs and mobile devices including the iPhone. The Y-cam Black features one-way audio allowing you to also listen in on sounds using a Windows-based PC with speakers.

Advanced features include an alarm management system which allows you to transfer images by email or FTP based on an alarm trigger such as video motion detection. The camera can also record video clips with audio at a pre-determined length for storage to a local hard drive. Video clips can be set to record manually or triggered by motion detection.

Like all IP cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.co.uk, the Y-cam Black has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.
