This outdoor-ready network radar detector from Axis utilises advanced radar technology to provide reliable breach protection. The device delivers accurate, round-the-clock incident notifications in all weather conditions with extensive 180° horizontal area coverage. It also features built-in analytics and smart coexistence functionality, as well as PoE-out support which enables the powering of additional devices.

Radar detector

An ideal complement to your surveillance system, the versatile unit offers 180° horizontal detection coverage. It also has a range of up to 60m when detecting a person or up to 85m when detecting a vehicle. Designed to solely detect movement round-the-clock, the detector is not sensitive to interfering movements that can often trigger false alarms - such as moving shadows, light beams, small animals or bad weather conditions.

Video analytics

Featuring built-in analytics developed based on machine learning and deep learning techniques, this advanced unit is able accurately detect, classify and track people and vehicles with a low false alarm rate. These analytics also enable the detection of the speed of a travelling object – helping to ensure safety in ports and harbour areas by allowing security staff to determine if a vehicle is exceeding the speed limit. Additionally, customisable detection zones are available; and users can also download the Axis Radar Autotracking for PTZ application. This handy software allows the detector to send the coordinates of a detected person or object to a connected PTZ unit in the system - triggering the camera to automatically zoom in on and track the object around the scene.

Video management

Users can easily integrate this versatile unit into an existing video surveillance system, or it can be used as a standalone unit. Based on an open platform, this network radar detector is compatible with a range of professional video management software such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect (plugin required). A cloud-based solution can also be implemented through the Morphean Cloud CCTV platform. In addition, data can be stored on the integrated microSD card (sold separately) to provide a handy backup in the event of a network connection failure.

Installation

The unit can be used alone, or thanks to smart coexistence functionality it is possible to use multiple radars close to each other. For instance, users can mount two radars back-to-back for complete 360° coverage. As well as PoE support for simplified installation, this intelligent device also features PoE-out for powering another device such as a camera for visual verification or a speaker for deterrence (sold separately).

Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
