Featuring two cameras in a single unit, the Axis P4705-PLVE outdoor multidirectional camera provides two different views through one IP address making for a more affordable multi-camera system for use where a wide area or multiple directions need to be covered from a single point. This high-performance unit is equipped with the powerful ARTPEC-8 chipset and a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) enabling the use of more advanced and accurate analytics for greater scene awareness, fewer false alarms, enhanced imaging and increased cybersecurity. The camera has long-term support for its firmware, so has a life significantly beyond its 5-year warranty, creating a significant return on investment.
Each varifocal lens provides a horizontal field of view of 107° - 39° and vertical field of view of 55° - 22° , so can be adjusted and set optimally during installation. Designed for use around the clock, even when light conditions are insufficient, the camera includes OptimisedIR LEDs that illuminate 360° around the camera and have up to 15m of reach. The camera’s IP66/67 weather-resistant casing is also IK10-rated for impact protection, making it ideal for deployment in exposed areas prone to tampering or vandalism.
The advanced imaging capabilities in this camera deliver high-quality, reliable video capture in a range of challenging conditions. The camera has the ability to deliver full-colour video in low light conditions, where IR is not used, using Lightfinder technology, ensuring no details are lost to low light levels. Forensic WDR lowers image noise levels and increases image signal to produce clear video in high-contrast or backlit scenes. Optimised for motion, this technology also ensures that few motion artefacts are apparent in scenes with high levels of activity. Furthermore, Corridor Format is a handy feature that rotates the video stream to optimise the field of view – ideal for recording narrow areas such as corridors.
In addition to video motion and tampering detection, this camera makes use of its DLPU with Axis Object Analytics (AOA). Using AI-based algorithms and behavioural conditions, it can identify objects and then classify them as humans or vehicles (and sub-classify vehicles by type). Once an object is detected a notification can be sent to the user, an event can be triggered, or audio clip can be called to play on a nearby speaker to deter undesirable behaviour. For a more specialised analytics solution, the Axis Camera Application Platform is supported.
For combined CCTV applications, purchase a licence for Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect to provide more advanced video management. This unique camera delivers two video streams in one unit, meaning only one software licence is required for the entire unit, providing significant cost savings. Additionally, data can be stored directly on the on-board MicroSD card - serving as a data backup if the network connection is interrupted
Designed for straightforward installation, the camera can be easily installed using remote zoom and focus to set the required view, eliminating the need for hands-on fine-tuning.
