This feature-packed outdoor dome camera is equipped with Axis’ state-of-the-art ARTPEC-8 chipset and captures detailed 4MP resolution video at up to 30 frames per second (fps), 24 hours a day. With Axis’ latest SoC, the camera features enhanced cybersecurity capabilities including secure boot and Edge Vault, as well as more accurate analytics based on deep learning. Additionally, the camera includes up to 30m OptimisedIR, network speaker pairing and Forensic WDR technology.
Providing a 102° horizontal angle of view, the camera enables users to view a wide area of the scene – suitable for monitoring open outdoor areas. Footage can be captured in all manner of light conditions, including complete darkness, thanks to the unit’s OptimisedIR LEDs. Designed to provide even illumination across the scene, these LEDs offer up to a 30m range of reach, ensuring no details are lost to poor lighting. Furthermore, this unit can easily be connected to audio devices via I/O ports and network speaker pairing, enabling audio recording and detection through the camera.
The M3216-LVE’s advanced imaging capabilities deliver high-quality, reliable footage in a range of light conditions. Forensic WDR Lowers noise levels and increases the image signal to ensure that all details can be seen clearly in high-contrast conditions. This unique WDR technology is also optimised for motion and reduces motion artefacts in busy scenes. Lightfinder technology also supports the capture of full-colour footage in extreme low-light conditions.
Another advantage of the innovative ARTPEC-8 chipset is the unit’s deep-learning analytics capabilities, providing highly accurate edge-based detection. Axis Object Analytics is available to detect and classify moving objects in the camera’s view. Able to distinguish between humans, vehicles and vehicle types, this advanced detection also allows users to set specific conditions, including objects that move, linger in an area, or cross a predetermined line. Users also can download free custom applications from the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) for a more tailored analytics solution that meets their unique requirements.

An innovative camera, featuring the latest Axis chipset, the M3216-LVE is the ideal choice for 24-hour surveillance of open outdoor areas such as car parks, outside leisure centres and petrol stations.
To ensure smooth and straightforward integration, a number of installation aids are included with this unit such as pixel counter, straighten image and level grid, allowing remote adjustment and validation of the camera’s view without the need for hands-on fine-tuning. The camera’s IK10 vandal-resistant housing is also IP66-rated and enables the camera to function from -40°C to 50°C and along with the included weathershield, protects the camera from inclement weather. Moreover, support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) enables quick and cost-effective installation by supplying the unit with both power and network connectivity over one cable.
