Overview of the Vivotek IP8162P
The Vivotek IP8162P fixed indoor network camera is designed to provide clear and detailed HD1080p video in challenging light conditions over wide open areas. The camera's Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) software is effective in locations with strong backlight or dark shadows while the camera's P-iris lens accurately controls the iris aperture, improving the camera's depth of field for sharp footage of both close and distant objects. Its wide field of view makes it ideal in wide open indoor spaces such as terminals, warehouses and reception areas.
The camera is also suited to low-light environments, featuring a switchable infrared-cut filter to capture a scene even in complete darkness when combined with infrared lighting. Captured video can also be streamed efficiently with Activity-adaptive streaming, lowering the quality of unnecessary sections of the view for lower bandwidth use.
Video can be stored to an SD memory card on the camera itself for a low-cost, low-bandwidth recording solution. Alternatively, the included Vivotek recording software can store video to a Windows PC at no additional cost. The camera can also be installed quickly, featuring a focus-assist system to provide visual feedback on the focus level as well as analogue output to connect with installation monitors.
