This product has been discontinued and replaced by the Sony SNC-VM632R.
The Sony SNC-DH280 is a fixed dome IP security camera suitable for deployment in outdoor locations where vandalism is an issue, such as bus and train stations. Equipped with an IP66- and IK10-rated casing, the SNC-DH280 is both impact-resistant and protected against demanding weather conditions. Alongside this, the SNC-DH280 is capable of providing a full HD 1080p image suitable for applications such as facial identification.
The SNC-DH280 also has integrated infrared illumination and an accompanying infrared cut filter. In dark or poor lighting conditions the SNC-DH280 will switch from a colour image to an infrared-sensitive black and white image and will in combination with the integrated infrared LEDs provide a clear image over a distance of at least 20m in darkness. Combined with Sony's DEPA Advanced intelligent video technology that can automatically alert you to any audio-visual activity outside of preset parameters, the SNC-DH280 provides an effective 24-hour surveillance solution.
The SNC-DH280 also has a number of image optimisation features, including View DR™, which promotes image quality in areas with extreme backlighting or highlighting, XDNR™, which cuts down motion blur in poor lighting conditions, and Easy Zoom and Easy Focus, which simplifies optimisation of the camera's image during installation.
When utilising an appropriate power source, the SNC-DH280 can operate in temperatures as low as 30°C (-22°F) with its built in heater. Alongside this capability, Power over Ethernet offers power and a network connection through a single cable, easing installation. The SNC-DH280 also includes Sony RealShot Manager Lite software, offering an effective out-of-the-box recording and playback solution.
Please note: this camera does not come with a power supply. Please select if required.
The SNC-DH280 is suited to implementation outdoors in locations that are prone to vandalism yet require a high-quality image, such as bus stations and airports
