This hemispheric dome IP camera by Bosch provides comprehensive area coverage of indoor scenes with round-the-clock, panoramic overviews in 7 megapixel resolution. It includes Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) for enhanced security monitoring as well as one-way audio, panoramic dewarping and SD card recording. The camera supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and is supplied with either a surface or pendant mount for flexible installation options.

Camera-based or client-side dewarping software supports multiple viewing modes and allows the original 360° fisheye image to be seen with less distortion. Edge dewarping is included and allows the camera to produce three separate video channels simultaneously at 12.5 frames per second (fps). In addition, Bosch’s client-side dewarping software can be downloaded onto a PC to stream dewarped views at full frame rate. The original panoramic overview can also be examined in closer detail using the camera's electronic pan/tilt/zoom (E-PTZ) controls which is a helpful tool when investigating events.

By intelligently distinguishing between noise and relevant information such as movement, Bosch’s Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (IDNR) technology analyses the scene and reduces noise levels at the source during image capture. These low-noise images result in reduced bandwidth streams that still retain high image quality. Intelligent Auto Exposure copes well in changing light conditions and offers high-performance front light and backlight compensation by automatically adjusting the camera’s exposure levels – ensuring the continuous capture of clear images. In addition, exposure control can be configured to process the 360° image or on a zone basis (maximum of 8 zones) to ensure important areas of the scene have the ideal exposure level.

The camera uses Bosch’s edge-based Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), together with the full panoramic overview to provide powerful surveillance and a range of configurable alarms that enhance scene awareness. 16 rules including line crossing and people counting are available and up to 8 rules can be processed simultaneously. Detailed metadata is recorded at the point of capture, allowing users to easily retrieve specific footage from hours of stored video if ever required. This advanced technology is i-LIDS approved and by running it completely at the edge, all processing is done without putting any load on the network or central resources.

IVA has been specifically designed for use in the most demanding environments and is able to differentiate between genuine security events and known false triggers - such as snow, rain, wind and reflections on water. This ensures the highest levels of accuracy, reduces false alarms and makes the technology ideal for use in mission-critical applications where the focus needs to be on what is most relevant to the user.

Users can access the camera easily from the included Bosch Video PC Client, a web browser or the free Bosch Video Security app. This free mobile app provides a flexible monitoring solution, allowing users to view live feeds, control cameras and playback recordings.
