Part of the advanced Axis Q19 series, this durable thermal IP camera delivers 640 x 480 resolution thermal imaging that can be scaled up to 800 x 600. Providing reliable detection in complete darkness or when an area’s view is obscured by smoke or dust, this unit is an ideal choice for demanding applications such as perimeter security. A choice of lens sizes are available (please select from the dropdown menu above) and the model also includes a variety on on-board Axis analytics, as well as the ability to utilise AI-based analytics to help improve detection capabilities and allow for proactive surveillance.

Camera

Providing reliable 24-hour thermal monitoring, this model is ideal for dark, obscured areas or locations with temperature-sensitive areas such as machinery or waste disposal. A choice of 7mm, 13mm, 19mm and 35mm lens sizes with 30 and 8.3 fps variants are available to allow optimum flexibility in finding the right solution for a user’s surveillance needs. Furthermore, electronic image stabilisation retains sharpness in images that are subject to excessive movement.

Imaging

The camera’s high-resolution thermal imaging delivers reliable detection of individuals and objects that give off heat, even in the darkest or most challenging visual conditions. Corridor format is a helpful feature that maximises area coverage and reduces bandwidth in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream, whilst privacy masking conceals confidential or redundant areas in the footage, maximising the privacy of those in the surrounding area.

Video analytics

Axis analytics applications such as Motion Guard, Fence Guard, Loitering Guard and Video Motion Detection are included with this camera to provide enhanced monitoring of locations. Alerts can be configured based on object behaviour to trigger recording to the onboard SD card (not included) and email notifications, keeping users consistently informed. The unit also supports Axis Perimeter Defender (sold separately), offering more enhanced edge-based intrusion detection, as well as carrying support for Axis’ camera application platform – allowing users to customise their surveillance with an array of third-party applications.

Video management

Edge recording stores video footage onto a MicroSD card (not included) which provides a handy backup of data if connection to the network is lost whilst also allowing the unit to work as a standalone system – simplifying setup. High performance video management software such as Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect can be used to manage and edit video and view both live and recorded footage.

Installation

With hard-wearing IK10 and NEMA 4X-rated impact resistant casing, this camera is equipped for use in exposed outdoor locations and can withstand inclement weather conditions with its IP66-rated weather protection. Moreover, to simplify installation, Power-over-Ethernet support delivers power and network connectivity to the camera over a single cable for a straightforward and cost-effective surveillance solution.
