The advanced Q6100-E features four 5MP sensors that work together to provide 360° overviews of outdoor scenes. It also uses a connected Axis Q61 PTZ network camera (not included) to gain up-close views into regions of interest - offering a full situational awareness solution in a single unit. The unit includes PoE support for simple installation, as well as handy technologies such as autopilot and one-click digital PTZ to help provide clearer detail and easier event analysis within areas of interest.
This camera is not a standalone unit and is designed for integration with any Axis Q61-E series IP camera.
Camera
Each of the unit’s four lenses can be manually tilted to achieve the user’s desired viewing direction – enabling the capture of clear overview images 24 hours a day. If the sensor is not required for overview purposes, it is also possible to swap each lens with a 6 or 12 mm lens (please select from the above dropdown menu) to provide a narrower field of view and allow users to focus on specific areas of interest. Support for one-click PTZ control enables users to quickly click on a region of interest, and then the connected Q61-E camera will move and zoom in to this location - providing greater detail for easier event analysis.
Imaging
Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology renders details evenly in strongly backlit scenes, ensuring objects and individuals can be identified clearly. Axis Corridor Format is also included which vertically orientates the view in narrow scenes – ideal for use in narrow alleyways or long streets.
Video analytics
Video motion detection and tampering alarms can be configured to enhance dynamic scene awareness. With Autopilot technology included, this high-quality unit is able to enhance the PTZ functionality of any Axis Q61-E camera (sold separately) – automatically tracking movement when activity is detected by one of the four 5MP sensors. In addition, directional audio detection is included which redirects the connected PTZ camera to the audio source whenever an audio incident is detected.
Video management
Recordings can be written to the on-board SD card (not included) to provide a helpful backup of data if the network fails. It is also possible to store data to network attached storage devices (NAS) for implementations that require larger storage capacity. For effective video management, the camera can be integrated with high-performance video management applications such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect. This model, connected with an Axis Q61-E camera, is also compatible with the Morphean Cloud CCTV platform.
Installation
This model is not a standalone product and is designed for integration with Axis Q61-E series IP cameras (using the same brackets and network cables) which can be mounted inside the Q6100-E. PoE support simplifies the installation process by providing power and network connectivity over a single cable, while the unit’s IP66 and IK10-rated casing ensures reliable use in outdoor locations that are prone to tampering attempts.
