This indoor PTZ dome is capable of producing smooth HD 1080p video footage up to 50 frames per second (fps) – making it ideal for monitoring busy locations 24-hours a day. Part of the advanced Axis Q60 series, the unit includes full pan/tilt functionality and 40x optical zoom for detailed examination of the scene. Additional features include Lightfinder 2.0, advanced security functionality to help enhance cyber protection and support for High Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+).

Using the camera’s endless 360° pan and variable pan/tilt movements, users are able to precisely navigate across a wide area - particularly helpful when closely monitoring a person or incident. For enhanced scene awareness, this unit features autotracking 2 with click and track functionality. In addition, the handy orientation aid which enables dynamic text overlays and a compass symbol for quick orientation when using multiple monitors.

Imaging technologies are included to help deliver clear video in complex lighting conditions. Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology enables details in scenes with bright and dark areas to be viewed clearly, whilst Axis’ advanced Lightfinder 2.0 imaging technology captures full colour images even in ambient light extremes.

Configurable video motion detection alarms can be set to trigger MicroSD card recording and also inform users of activity via email notification. These alarms can also be used in combination with Axis’ Advanced Gatekeeper so that if motion is detected, the camera will automatically pan and zoom to a preset position. Additionally, there is also the ability to connect an external microphone through the audio I/O port - allowing activity occurring close to the camera to be recorded.

A range of handy features are included such as signed firmware and secure boot, which help to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the camera's firmware. Axis' Zipstream technology helps to lower bandwidth and storage levels by optimising the video stream in real-time, removing unnecessary data and allowing important details to be retained. In addition, support for PoE+ (midspan included) supplies the camera with both power and network connectivity via a single cable – simplifying installation.
