Equipped for outdoor use and part of i-PRO’s S-series, the S1536LNA delivers smooth HD 1080p resolution video at up to 60 frames per second (fps) – suitable for monitoring high-traffic areas. Available in black or white, with intelligent analytics preinstalled, this unit can reliably detect and classify both humans and vehicles that enter the field of view – enabling object-specific event triggers to be configured for proactive scene awareness. (selectable from the dropdown menu) for installation in marine or coastal applications. 24-hour monitoring is possible with true day/night video capture, which is enhanced by up to 70m of IR illumination – ensuring areas around the camera can be seen in complete darkness.

Imaging and Optics

Fitted with a varifocal lens, this unit allows horizontal views between 37° and 177° to be set at installation, making it easy to set the required viewing angle. Intelligent Auto is included to monitor motion and scene dynamics, allowing key camera settings to be automatically adjusted to help avoid distortion in the footage. A range of imaging technologies helps this camera deliver full-resolution video in variable light conditions. Full-colour imaging is available in light levels as low as 0.009 lux, ensuring that important details are clear and objects of interest can be more easily identified. In areas of low light, noise can obscure footage, decreasing the detail that can be captured – digital noise reduction is included to combat this and deliver clear low-light video. Super Dynamic WDR technology stabilises high-contrast lighting to retain the level of detail across the entire image.

Video analytics

In addition to the intelligent object detection and classification preinstalled onto this camera, a wide range of helpful analytics are built-in or supported to enhance scene awareness. I-PRO’s AI-VMD motion detection works with intelligent object detection to identify specific activity in the field of view and notify users of this via email. Specified activities include intrusion, loitering, the direction of movement and line crossing – enabling alarms to be set whenever one or more of these activities occur. Support for audio devices via the I/O ports enables audio detection and classification, triggering alerts when a suspicious sound such as a gunshot, yell, vehicle horn or breaking glass can be heard. Moreover, this camera supports the i-PRO software development kit (SDK), enabling custom analytics to be created and installed to offer a suitable solution to almost any requirement.

Video management

Video can be remotely accessed and reviewed and analytics can be managed via the i-PRO Video Insight application, available on mobile and PC for a feature-packed management tool with a simple licencing structure that reduces the total cost of ownership. For more demanding installations, users can purchase a licence for Milestone XProtect, enabling a more sophisticated management solution. Furthermore, recordings can be securely written to the onboard SD card (not included) and used as a backup if the network fails, safeguarding important data.

Installation and mounting options

This NDAA-compliant camera is designed for straightforward outdoor installation, its casing is both IP66 and IK10-rated, making it suitable for deployment in areas prone to harsh weather and vandalism attempts. You can choose a ClearSight variant, featuring an innovative coating that keeps the viewing area free from water and dirt that could obscure visibility, and the unit is also available as a salt-resistant, ISO 14993-compliant model. Power and network connectivity are delivered through one cable with support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), reducing the equipment needed for installation and the associated costs. To help reduce the cost of ownership further, I-PRO’s Smart Coding is included. This advanced compression technology helps to reduce bandwidth by up to 60%, optimising storage capacity.
