This high-performance ATEX-Certified model from Axis is capable of producing HD 1080p resolution video footage at up to 50 frames per second (fps). Equipped with a powerful 40x optical zoom and full pan/tilt capability, this camera enables users to examine areas of interest in greater detail – helping to provide a responsive monitoring solution in areas with a high risk of fire or explosions. This high-spec unit features the Axis ARTPEC 7 chipset for improved imaging technologies - such as Lightfinder 2.0 and also offers support for a range of video analytics to help enhance security surveillance of personnel and assets.
Designed for the most extreme environments, this PTZ camera’s IP68-rated housing also meets the ATEX-Certified EX II 2GD standard - meaning it can contain internal explosions and prevent sparks from escaping the device. This makes it a robust enough choice for deployment in high-risk heavy industrial or marine sites, such as petrochemical plants and ports; whilst being significantly lighter than most traditional ATEX-rated PTZ units and weighing only 20kg.
This advanced camera provides round-the-clock surveillance offering a 65.1° field of view and capturing smooth HD 1080p resolution video footage at up to 50 fps - ideal for demanding locations that feature high levels of activity. It is also equipped with a powerful 40x optical zoom and full pan (360°)/tilt (180°) capability, meaning users can navigate precisely across wide areas – particularly helpful when closely monitoring a person or object.
Using a range of advanced imaging technologies, the camera can capture clear video footage in challenging lighting conditions. Lightfinder 2.0 technology produces full-colour images in extreme low-light conditions, while WDR technology compensates for bright light and shadows in a scene to ensure individuals and objects are clearly visible throughout the image. In addition, electronic image stabilisation helps to improve video quality where the camera is subject to vibrations.
Configurable camera-based video motion detection alarms help to alert users of activity in real-time and can also be set to trigger movement to PTZ presets. The unit also comes pre-installed with Axis Guard Suite analytics, such as Motion Guard and Fence Guard, which help to enhance scene awareness within predefined areas in the field of view. Autotracking 2 technology and Active Gatekeeper are also included – enabling easy, active tracking of moving objects. Further high-performance analytics applications can be accessed via the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP).
Edge storage is included which provides a helpful backup of data in the event of a network connection failure. Sophisticated video management is also possible through integration with high-performance video management software applications such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect to provide a comprehensive surveillance solution.
This robust ATEX-Certified unit is designed for use in the most demanding environments and is ideal for marine or heavy industrial applications. In addition, Power over Ethernet (PoE) support also provides the unit with power and network connectivity over a single cable – reducing installation costs.
