The Axis P5654-E is a high-performance outdoor PTZ camera with HD 720p resolution and delivers video at a smooth frame rate of up to 60fps. The lens offers a horizontal viewing angle of 77° providing wide area coverage and other features including support for H.265 video compression, Lightfinder 2.0. Forensic WDR and Electronic Image Stabilisation.
With Lightfinder 2.0, the camera is sensitive in low light conditions, delivering more saturated colour and reduced blurring of moving objects. Forensic WDR also improves image quality, balancing exposure levels between bright and dark areas and reducing visible noise and video artefacts for a sharper result - especially with movement in the scene.
Support for the latest H.265 video compression format results in lower bandwidth streaming and reduced total storage costs of recorded video. With Axis Zipstream the bandwidth usage can be decreased further by using a lower bitrate for insignificant details within a scene and delivering full resolution and frame rate for relevant areas with detail. Electronic Image stabilisation will also compensate for small movements of the camera in harsh weather conditions by keeping the image sharp and clear.
Intelligent features pre-installed include Axis Video Motion Detection for event triggering based on movement and Axis Advanced Gatekeeper which is a tool that can be used when movement is detected within a region of interest, automatically zooming the camera into the location for greater detail. Analytic capabilities can be extended via the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) allowing for installation from a range of Axis or third-party applications.
The Axis P5654-E offers wide support for leading VMS recording platforms including Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect VMS. Using the MicroSD card recording can also be configured at the edge with direct local recording straight to the camera and if more video retention is required the camera can also record out to a NAS (network-attached storage).
