This ultra-compact wearable sensor is for use with the Axis W100 Body Worn camera and delivers HD 1080p resolution video at full frame rate. Designed for unobtrusive and flexible use, this unit can be attached to lightweight material such as a lapel or a t-shirt using the included magnetic mount – making it ideal for indoor workers such as retail assistants. The IP54-rated casing protects the camera from water splashes and WDR technology ensures video is clear in high contrast conditions.

Camera

Weighing just 0.04kg, this non-invasive unit can be used to deter negative behaviour or record evidence of incidents in full HD 1080p resolution - when connected to the W100 Body Worn camera. The 2.1mm fixed lens captures wide horizontal views of 141°. Furthermore, this sensor is available in both black and white variations, providing options to match with dark or light-coloured clothing according to the user’s requirements.

Imaging

WDR technology allows the sensor to deliver clear footage in high-contrast light conditions by reducing noise associated with particularly light and dark areas – ideal for capturing reliable video that can be used in court or internal investigations, even when light conditions are not optimal.

Video management

Recorded video can be offloaded onto the W800 System Controller for long-term storage via the W700 docking station. More advanced editing and analysis of video can be achieved via Axis video management software (VMS) such as Axis Camera Station. Additionally, using the Axis Optimiser Body Worn Extension, the system can be integrated with third-party video management and evidence management applications such as Milestone XProtect.

Installation

This compact unit connects to the Axis W100 Body Worn camera via USB to offer a versatile recording solution to be worn indoors, recording encounters and working as a deterrent for negative behaviour. The included magnetic mount allows it to be easily attached to lightweight clothing without slipping or damaging the fabric.
