Compact and affordable, the WV-U1532LA outdoor bullet camera from i-PRO by Panasonic delivers HD 1080p resolution video at full frame rate – ideal for smaller security installations that require non-invasive 24-hour monitoring. Remote access is available via the Panasonic Security Viewer application, allowing users to view CCTV footage from their mobile devices. Additionally, the unit also includes support for Power-over-Ethernet, Smart Coding bandwidth optimisation, and edge storage.

Camera

Featuring a varifocal lens, which offers views between 44° and 102°, this bullet IP camera provides 24-hour surveillance, enhanced by up to 30m of illumination from the integrated IR LEDs. Furthermore, a built-in 2.5x motorised zoom allows closer inspection of the scene to be achieved remotely. Moreover, the camera’s IP66 weather and IK10 vandal-resistant casing enables it to function in more exposed areas prone to inclement weather and vandalism.

Imaging

This camera is integrated with a range of imaging technologies to ensure footage is clear and detailed. Panasonic’s Super Dynamic technology compensates for light and dark areas of the view to retain detail in high contrast conditions. Full-colour footage can be captured in low light conditions thanks to the unit’s night vision technology – ensuring detail is not lost in darkness. Furthermore, Intelligent Auto (iA) mode reduces motion blur in recordings by automatically adjusting key camera settings such as ISO and shutter speed according to recording conditions.

Video analytics

To further increase scene awareness, motion detection alarms can be configured. In response to potentially suspicious activity, users can either be notified via email or recording to the onboard SD card (not included) can be triggered – sustaining a thorough surveillance solution, even when users are not in the immediate area.

Video management

Users have a range of options for video management with this camera, Panasonic’s own video management software, Video Insight, is available to download, allowing users to view, edit and export their surveillance footage. However, third party VMS solutions such as Milestone XProtect are also compatible with this camera. Furthermore, support for edge storage allows this camera to work as a standalone unit in small surveillance systems and stores a backup in case of network failure.

Installation

For smooth set-up, this camera is equipped with several features that simplify the installation process, including support for PoE – delivering power and network connectivity over one cable, reducing equipment needs. In addition, a range of Smart Coding technologies optimise bandwidth usage, including Variable Image Quality on Specified area (VIQS) – retaining the highest quality in up to 8 areas of the scene whilst remaining areas’ quality will be reduced to save bandwidth.
