Featuring a flat-profile design, this indoor dome IP camera by Bosch can be in-ceiling mounted to deliver unobtrusive 180° overviews in 8 megapixel resolution. It supports Bosch’s edge-based Essential Video Analytics, as well as true day/night recording to provide reliable security monitoring – 24 hours a day. Additional features include edge storage and easy installation with Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE).

Camera-based or client-side dewarping software supports multiple viewing modes and allows specific sections of the panoramic view to be seen with less distortion. Using the included edge dewarping feature, the camera produces three separate video channels simultaneously at 12.5 frames per second (fps). Furthermore, users can also stream dewarped views at full frame rate by installing the client-side dewarping software onto a PC. The original 180° image can also be examined in closer detail using electronic pan/tilt/zoom (E-PTZ) controls - helpful when investigating events.

By intelligently distinguishing between noise and relevant information such as movement, Bosch’s Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (IDNR) technology analyses the scene and reduces noise levels at the source during image capture. These low-noise images result in reduced bandwidth streams that still retain high image quality. In addition, Intelligent Auto Exposure (IAE) offers high-performance front light and backlight compensation by automatically adjusting the camera’s exposure levels, continuously capturing clear images - even in changing light conditions. Users can also configure exposure control to process up to eight specific areas – ensuring all important regions feature optimum exposure levels.

Bosch’s Essential Video Analytics is an i-LIDS approved, edge-based technology that offers a range of configurable alarms to help provide reliable and accurate surveillance. With up to 14 rules available, including line crossing and people counting, users can configure a maximum of 8 rules to be processed simultaneously. Detailed metadata is recorded at the point of capture, allowing users to later retrieve specific footage from hours of stored video, quickly and easily. Running this advanced technology at the edge enables all processing to be done without putting any load on the network or central resources.

A range of viewing options are available including the supplied Bosch Video PC Client, browser based access and the free Video Security app. This handy application provides users with remote access to live images, camera control and playback of recordings – all from a mobile device.
