The Axis W800 System Controller is the central integration and management point for Axis body worn solutions. With 480GB of SSD storage and capacity to support up to 40 cameras and 5 docking stations, this standalone unit ensures a flexible and highly scalable system. Data can be delivered to video and evidence management systems, as well as compatible network video recorders (NVRs) on the network; and by linking multiple controllers, users can easily manage any number of cameras via a single interface. In addition, because the system controller is separate and not built into the camera docking station, like most other body worn systems - it offers a cost-effective solution by removing the need to purchase a new docking station every time new cameras need to be added to the system.
Controller
Acting as the hub of the Axis body worn solution, this versatile system controller makes adding new cameras and docking stations a straightforward task. One W800 controller supports the connection of up to 5 docking stations and 40 cameras; and this can be easily extended with the use of additional system controllers for larger systems. Users are able to quickly offload video data at up to 100Mbit/s per camera, meaning cameras are ready to use again right away - ideal for use in fast-paced applications, such as within the emergency services. It also features 6 ethernet connections: one for connection to the network and 5 for the connection of docking stations.
Video management
Video management is possible through integration with Axis video management software (VMS) such as Axis Camera Station. In addition, with the Axis Optimizer Body Worn Extension, the W800 System Controller can be integrated with third-party video management systems, such as Milestone XProtect.
Installation
The unit’s compact form factor makes for easy installation on desktop surfaces and the included mounting bracket offers even more flexible installation options. Additionally, the integrated DC connector enables the connection of a 12V DC input and docking stations can be connected via 5 integrated ethernet connections with shielded RJ45 cables.
