Part of the popular Axis P32 range, this vandal-resistant IP camera is a great 'all-rounder' and captures detail-packed 4K Ultra HD resolution video at up to 25 frames per second (fps). Designed to provide reliable 24-hour monitoring of indoor scenes, this advanced model features Axis Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technologies for improved imaging in challenging lighting conditions. OptimisedIR is also included and helps to enhance night-vision at a distance of up to 40m. Additional features include Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, edge storage (microSD card not included) as well as the Axis ARTPEC-7 chipset and ACAP support for the installation of high-performance analytics applications.

Camera

The camera is equipped with a varifocal lens which provides horizontal views of up to 100° and allows the desired viewing angle to be set during installation. OptimisedIR technology helps to enhance night-vision at a distance of up to 40m and intelligently adapts the level of infrared illumination to avoid overexposure and best suit the scene. Two-way audio recording is also possible via optional Axis T61 audio and I/O interfaces (sold separately) – enabling the connection of an external microphone and speaker.

Imaging

Axis Lightfinder 2.0 technology supports the capture of full colour images even in low light and Axis Forensic WDR technology ensures the capture of details in high contrast scenes. The advanced unit also features motion-adaptive exposure – helping to provide sharper images by reducing the motion blur from nearby or approaching objects. Axis Corridor Format optimises the field of view in narrow areas – ideal for use in school and small office buildings. In addition, the original image can be examined in greater details thanks to digital PTZ controls and multi-view streaming, which allows two cropped views to be streamed simultaneously.

Video analytics

Axis Object Analytics enable the camera to detect and classify people and vehicles when they cross a user-defined virtual line or enter a user-defined area. A range of configurable, camera-based video motion detection alarms are also available to help alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. User can also install other advanced applications from Axis and third-party developers through the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP).

Video management

The quality camera can be integrated with high-performance video management software such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect to enable sophisticated video management. The camera can also be integrated with the Morphean Cloud CCTV platform to achieve a cloud-based solution. Additionally, edge storage provides a handy backup of data in the event of a network connection failure.

Installation

Housed in an IK10-rated casing, the unit can be used reliably in indoor locations that are prone to tampering attempts. It also offers straightforward installation with support for remote zoom and focus, as well as PoE.
