Overview of the Milestone XProtect Corporate - Base Licence

XProtect Corporate is the full-featured variant of Milestone XProtect. It comes with many advanced features designed to ensure that CCTV system stakeholders and operators have the tools available to operate flexibly and respond rapidly to both normal operations and ongoing or escalating events. It comes with XProtect Smart Wall and XProtect Incident Manager, two built-in applications which help control rooms respond rapidly to developing situations and maintain overall situational awareness, whilst relying on XProtect’s redundancy features to ensure the highest uptimes for the system.

Video Management

Milestone XProtect Corporate boasts powerful capabilities for the operation and management of systems demanding constant, real-time monitoring of multiple sites ranging across large-scale sites such as airports, seaports, transport hubs, large manufacturing complexes, zoos, cities, local authorities and more.

Connect an unlimited number of IP devices such as cameras, encoders, speakers and other audio devices, I/O boxes and use rules and actions to integrate them onto an unlimited number of recording servers – meaning you can flexibly distribute the processing workload and network throughput intelligently and in keeping with how your IT infrastructure is laid out. Milestone XProtect Corporate provides the tools to scale and operate a large video security system with the utmost reliability and with features which ensure compliance with corporate and enterprise workflows for both the security and IT departments.

XProtect Corporate also incorporates all of Milestone’s core operator tools and functions which make the process of monitoring a large camera estate with a complex workflow simple. From the ability to have the views which are being monitored fully automated based on any condition available to the flexible ruleset, to allowing operators to perform many manual actions including moving cameras, talking through speakers, opening doors, activating barriers, documenting their actions or setting the system up in the way that they prefer, XProtect Corporate vastly simplifies the tasks a CCTV operator must perform no matter the size of the system or control room.

The Corporate variant includes XProtect Smart Wall, a customisable video wall solution displaying the most relevant and critical video on up to 100 display windows with an unlimited number of simultaneous streams across users, for an enhanced and consolidated video wall providing all-round situational awareness across a single or multiple sites.

Please note: This licence is for the installation of the XProtect Corporate full system. To add camera licences you will need to purchase an additional Milestone XProtect Corporate camera licence for each device.

Viewing Clients

XProtect Corporate supports advanced system monitoring features, including a customisable dashboard for monitoring of system status and tasks, incorporating event triggers based on thresholds allowing the flexibility to tailor notifications and status around normal, warning and critical level events as appropriate for the needs of the organisation.

Three user-friendly viewing interfaces make accessing and live and recorded video footage easy:

• The powerful Smart Client viewing software is an industry leading all-in-one monitoring tool, providing complete access, control and monitoring of any sized system through a desktop PC or workstation.
• Occasional and remote users can access live and recorded footage from a modern web browser without the need for additional software with the Milestone Web Client.
• For users on the go, the Mobile Client allows them to act on incidents from anywhere by enabling remote access from smartphones or tablets (iOS and Android) or even stream video back to the XProtect system from their device which then becomes part of the incident.

Security

A multitude of built-in cybersecurity mechanisms come as standard with Milestone XProtect, maintaining the integrity of private, personal and other important data, giving organisations peace of mind that the network is protected from internal and external threats. Tools such as HTTPS and high-level certificate-based encryption ensures secure communication of video, audio and metadata, whilst digital signing and re-export prevention means any exported material is fully authentic and confirmed free from tampering. Dual authentication capability grants access for operators in a 2-stage process where a supervisor enters their credentials first, whilst support for Microsoft Active Directory and Single Sign-on (SSO) means pre-existing roles and groups can be given access to cameras, with full traceability of user actions through the system audit log. To further enhance security regarding access, two-step verification for Web and Mobile Client users can be enabled to prevent unauthorised access.

Milestone Care Plus

Software runs more efficiently and is maintained as cybersecure when it is kept patched and up to date as part of a system life compliance procedure. To allow this, Milestone Care Plus is an add-on to each license which enables regular software updates, meaning you get the most out of your initial investment with optimised and secure, future-proofed software. Milestone XProtect is updated 3 times per year to ensure efficiency, compliance and good practice can be maintained. Couple this with a robust support program for the system to ensure that Milestone XProtect Corporate is maintained as an effective business-critical system.
