Designed for in-ceiling installation, this advanced PTZ dome from Bosch is part of the Starlight series and delivers full-colour HD 1080p video of indoor locations at full frame rate - even in near darkness. The unit features full pan/tilt functionality with powerful 30x optical zooming and 360° pan for real-time, in-depth scene investigation. Bosch’s Intelligent Video Analytics are also included to help enhance security surveillance and other useful features include support for Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), onboard storage (microSD card not included) and free remote access via the Bosch Video Security mobile app.
Users can precisely navigate across wide scenes using the camera’s variable pan/tilt movements (including 360° continuous rotation); this is particularly helpful when closely monitoring a person or incident. 30x optical zooming also allows users to examine areas of interest in greater detail. True day/night recording means that users can reliably monitor locations round-the-clock and the unit’s built-in audio I/O ports enable two-way audio via the connection of an external microphone and speaker (not included).
The camera can deliver full-colour video in extreme low-light conditions using Bosch’s Starlight technology. Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (IDNR) is also included and helps to produce clearer low-light images by analysing the scene and reducing noise levels accordingly. In addition, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology renders details evenly in strongly backlit scenes, ensuring objects and individuals can be identified clearly.
Bosch’s Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) is i-LIDS-approved, edge-based technology that provides a comprehensive range of configurable alarms to enable more dynamic and accurate surveillance. The camera's Intelligent Tracking capability can be used alongside these advanced analytics to allow users to continuously track objects of interest when motion is detected. A total of 16 rules are available and 8 can be set to run simultaneously. Detailed metadata is recorded during image capture to enable the quick retrieval of specific footage from hours of stored video; and by running this technology at the edge, all processing can be done without putting load on the network or central resources. Additionally, the unit’s built-in audio and alarm I/O ports enable the connection of external devices to help enhance alarm signalling.
Recordings can be written to the onboard microSD card (not included) to provide a helpful backup of data if the network fails. Easy access to the camera is also provided via the included Bosch Video PC Client, a web browser or the free downloadable Bosch Video Security app. This mobile application provides a versatile viewing solution, suitable for smaller systems, enabling remote access to live views, camera control and recording playback – at any time or place. The high-performance camera can also be integrated into other third-party VMS such as Milestone XProtect.
With support for PoE+, this camera is able to receive power and network connectivity over one cable for cost-effective installation.
