Overview of the JVC VN-H257U

The JVC VN-H257U indoor IP security camera is part of JVCs Super LoLux range, delivering excellent performance and high quality detailed video and images in full HD 1080p resolution. Colour footage is available in very-low light conditions, allowing personnel and objects to be identified easily with minimal lighting.

This camera has a number of technologies which improve video quality in difficult lighting, including JVC's Clear Logic Video Intelligence (CLVI), which cuts through haze or strong backlight to capture detail. The camera is contained in a tough and durable casing for protection against vandalism, making it useful for installation in high-risk areas where high levels of detail are required.

Edge recording to SD cards and NAS drives provides video backup in the event of network failure. ONVIF/PSIA compliance allows the VN-H257U to connect easily with a huge range of third-party surveillance equipment. Installation can be preformed quickly with Automatic back focus and Power over Ethernet available, reducing system costs.
