Sony have recently announced two new cameras for their 360° IP dome camera SNC-RX series.

Joining the original Sony SNC-RX550 is the new SNC-RX530 and SNC-RX570. These will offer the same key features as all cameras in the SNC-RX series:

• Highly sensitive 1/4 type Exwave HAD CCD imaging sensor
• DEPA Intelligent video analytics providing intelligent motion and object detection
• Multiple video compression formats: JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264
• Automatic day/night switching
• Image stabilizer
• …plus many more

Key differences between the cameras

Sony SNC-RX530

• Lens: Auto focus, 18x optical zoom, 4.1 – 73.8mm, F1.4 (wide), F3.0 (tele), horizontal: 48° (wide) to 2.8° (tele)

Sony SNC-RX550

• Lens: Auto-focus, 26x optical zoom, 3.5 to 91mm, F1.6 (wide), F3.8 (tele), horizonal 54.2° (wide) to 2.2° (tele)

Sony SNC-RX570

• Lens: Auto focus, 36x optical zoom, 3.4 – 122.4mm, F1.6 (wide), F4.8 (tele), horizontal 57.8° (wide) – 1.7° (tele)
• Additional: Equipped with new advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for enhanced picture quality
• Additional: Includes Sony’s DynaView wide-dynamic range technology which provides high quality images in high-contrast environments
