Wedding Webcam Wonderment for Watchful Well-wishers
Romance can sometimes be about spontaneity and throwing caution to the wind, and over the years places like Las Vegas and Gretna Green have been synonymous with just that.
Now, of course, marriage in famous wedding locations like Gretna is less about running away, crossing the border and getting hitched to your teenage sweetheart and more about simply providing an historic and memorable wedding experience. Still, there are those who will miss out on the experience of their loved ones’ magical day through simply not being able to be there, being in another country, or timezone.
IP cameras, as webcams, end all that. Now it is possible for any family member to be there and to feel part of the wedding ceremony. The live Streamdays webcam at Gretna’s Anvil Hall is showing that wedding on the web can be more inclusive than ever before.
View the Gretna wedding cam on streamdays.com or at Gretna Weddings.
Elopers beware: your families may just get in on the act after all!

11 commentsDynamic DNS, or Do I Really Need a Static IP Address?
When you install a new IP camera it is most likely that you’re going to want to view it from outside of the network on which it’s installed - your local network. To do this you need two things:
- You need to know your external IP, or WAN address
- You need ‘port forwarding’, or Network Address Translation (NAT) rules active on your router
Why does it have to be so complicated?
It doesn’t. Your WAN, external, or public IP address (all terms for the same thing) is the internet protocol number which links your broadband router or modem to the Internet. It is the gateway through which all network traffic exits, or crucially in this case, enters your network. You need to know this address to be able to connect back into your camera.

No commentsVision:ON - The IP network camera information blog
Hello, and welcome to the new blog from Network Webcams Ltd, leaders in IP network camera solutions.
What’s Vision:ON then? Back in the day, when Fred Harris and Johnny Morris were (in my house anyway) kings of post-school TV, the late and legendary Tony Hart was bringing us his unique art on the BBC in “Vision On”.
This blog, from Network Webcams Limited, is inspired by the memory of this programme, and of our other heros, Fred and Johnny.
This is our “Wacky Doorbell Machine”. We’ll bring you company updates, articles and information from the IP network camera industry. We’ll show you applications you can put IP cameras to, and we’ll probably post the odd link or two to our websites hoping you’ll visit us and (gasp!) maybe even buy something from us!
Don’t worry, it won’t all be about promotion. We’re hoping, over time, to become the net’s top resource for information on network cameras and their uses.
Just so you know, we offer a wide range of IP camera solutions and services including an online store, webcam services for the construction industry (RemoteManager) and leisure and hospitality sectors (Streamdays Webcam Hosting) as well as CCTV security installations and more. We’re a busy bunch, but if it involves IP cameras, we can do it.
How, for now!
